Some interesting facts about Kiev

5th century A.D. - the date when the Prince Kyi founded the city of Kyiv. Kiev occupies the sixth place in Europe as for the number of citizens after Moscow London, Peter, Berlin, Madrid. As for the first of October 2012 the number of citizens is 2 822 120.
The Kiev-PechersLavra has the longest chain of caves where the relics that shed holy are placed. The Arsenalna metro station in Kiev is the deepest in the world. It goes under ground for 105 meters. It was built one of the first in 1960 near the building of the parliament. There is a legend that in the tunnels near the metro station there are refuges for political ruling top.
