The monument to Leonid Utessov

In the Odessa City Park, that is located on the famous street Ujnoi Palmiry, Deribassovska – there are a lot of sights. One of them is the monument to Leonid Utessov – famous actor and performer I Odessa.

The monument to L.Utessov was created by the sculptor Alexander Tokarevym and was opened on September 2, 2000. Utessov is depicted sitting on the bench. It looks like he is resting after the concert.

Leonid Utessov was born in Odessa and devoted almost all his songs to his native city. He loved his city very much and considered it to be the best city in the whole world.
