The Askold Tomb is one of the most famous historical places in Kiev. There used to be a prestigious necropolis that was distroyd during the soviet period. Nowadays the park is a memorial of landscape architecture. The Askold Tomb is a part of a picturesque park on the right bank of the Dnieper and is one of the favouriteplces for outing. The Mycholaivska Church was transferred to the religion community of the Byzanthine-rite Catholic Church of Ukraine, that is a currently operating church. Also in 1990 the wooden cross was installed on the Askold Tomb as a symbolic gravestone for the Heroes of Krytu.
