The Bogdan Khmelnitskiy Park is one of the favorite places in Lvov for having fun or having rest. The area – 26 hectares.
There is a unique small entertaining town that will attract both the parents’ and the children’s attention. It is located in the lower part of the park. It works only in summer. Here there is the only big wheel in the city from the top of which you can see the panorama of the whole city.
There are also different carousels that will definitely please every visitor. In the upper part of the city there is a summer stage. Here the concerts and discos take place in summer. Going up the central path lane you will see the Fame monument – the memorial to the winners of the World War II.
The park was created in 1951, during the soviet period. Before the park there used to be the pond. In 1959 they finished building the park. Later the fountains and arches were built near the main entrance to the park. The stadium Unost is located in the park as well as the Drujba cinema (unfortunately it is closed now).
In 1979 there was built the concert center Romantik. The park is a memorial of landscape art of local value. It is also one of the most comfortable parks in Lvov.
